Sunroof/Moonroof help please

Hi,
just picked up a 92 gs yesterday and my first problem to tackle is sunroof. I got it all apart and it seems its either that last little gear that spins the 2 rods is stipped, or else the rods might be. The roof would open up and when it got to either end would click like mad. Any adivce from someone whos had the problem would be apprecitaed. Thanks, Sam

They all do that when you try to make it go past its end point.

It does that before it gets to the end.

It may be that it is encountering high resistance to motion. Can you wind it right to the end with an allen key in the motor shaft?

Sublime: you need to clean first and then lube the "metalspirals" thats pushing and pulling the sunroof... theyre positioned in the aluminiumrails in both sides
