or even a good price on a k8de for that matter i just want a non smoking decent engine. i've priced the k8 and for $1200 cdn. i can get the engine out of a 95 with 90 000 kms i think thats too expensive

damn, i paid $1200 for my ZE, that is too much

My swap took 3 evenings, me and my mechanic did it in his garage

You can look in the For Sale Forums over at www.probetalk.com Every time someone gets a KLZE, they'll have a free KLDE to sell. Usually, they'll let them go for $400 +- with 100K miles on them.

one more question that never got answered earlier, would replacement parts for the k8ze be the same as for the k8de?

The only things that would be different would be the cams, the pistons, and crank. Even though the parts from the K8ZE and K8DE could easily be swapped out with one another.

Also, the K8ZE might have a different ECU, on which it could run better than if you used the K8DE ECU.
Re-shaped and re-sized gearshift lever. Best driveability mod you can do!
Extra thick soundproofing in the boot (trunk) to quieten my stainless steel exhaust system :)
