Another ZE question

Post by Mx-3 Guy »

Im currently running the kl01 ecu with mike seli's chip, with my JE50 vaf.

Will this setup cause it to run really rich?

In the morning when i start the car it will fire up but doesnt want to keep it self going, so i have to stay on the gas, until its warm. and the old black smoke just rolls out the back.

also on the highway the car seems to have a miss in it if im off the gas.

Do you guys think this is all because of the wrong vaf ecu combo.

I would think you should be using the KL vaf. That chip is most likely tuned to run with that and not a JE50 vaf.

Ok I installed the kl02 vaf, andmy idle is alot better.

But there still seems to be a miss when driving at highway speeds. any ideas of what this could be.

I don't know much about cars in general but... have you checked to see if by running really rich, like my car does, that your spark plugs aren't soaked in fuel? Mine sure were, so I had to replace them, which fixed the miss problem I had.
No more MX-3.
