Re: High Flow cat
I put in a Catco Hi-Flo Cat a few months ago -- purchased from Summit Racing -- and the only difference I noticed was a slight change in the exhaust note.
As for performance, I really can't report any seat-of-the pants increase. Maybe 1-2 hp if I put in on the dyno?

Re: High Flow cat
The high flow cat companies claim an 8% increase in flow. I think your better off buying a bigger cat and necking it down for the increase in flow. IE: if you have 2 1/4" piping get a 2 1/2" cat.

Re: High Flow cat
Test pipe will flow more for sure. Only two worries with it.
1. If you have to pass emissions its not really an option
2. Our cars can get a buzzy exhaust note with no cat. Having a cat mellows down the tone some, giving it a better sound.

Re: High Flow cat
What exhaust do you guys recommend for the KL-ZE. I've noticed quite a few different setups. Some had 2.5", but most had 2.25". Is cat-back the way to go? I don't have emissions test here in FL, so I'm not worried about any of that.

Re: High Flow cat
personal preference really. You can get a 2 1/4" cat back from pacesetter for $200 delivered. I think anything 2.5" is going to be custom.

Re: High Flow cat
Just an FYI I purchased a 2.5" magnaflow(also known as carsound) cat off ebay for $55 shipped. It was their series 94100. That is the shorter of their universal cats.

This is for my ZE swap. I'm going to be running hotshot headers(2.5") with this cat and a pacesetter catback(2.25").
