Rocker gasket woes

Post by fabius »

my rocker gasket keeps going in the same place on the far left cylinder next to the timing belt but it only ever drips in on top of the spark plug very slowly causing a misfire every once and a while. Is it safe to use liquid gasket to seal it or would I risk bits of the sealant getting in the engine???

When replacing the valve cover gasket use a thin layer of RTV silicone on the mating surfaces and you'll be fine.
