vris question

Post by cozmo959 »

i know that vris 1 and vris 2 are supposed to be hard to open at idle with the klze motor/ecu but is it gonna be the same for the k8 ecu. cuz im using the k8 ecu but both vris points open easily at idle, so just wondering if its working. i have no cel with the k8 ecu either.

Luckily, I took a print of Page F2-100 of the manual, before it went offline. Both VRIS valves are closed up to 1,900 rpm. If the engine is under load, they will then both open up to 2,600 (If it's not under load, they stay closed). From 2,600 to 3,900 they are both closed. From 3,900 to 4,700, #1 is open. From 4,700 to 6,300 both open. Beyond 6,300 both close.
Re-shaped and re-sized gearshift lever. Best driveability mod you can do!
Extra thick soundproofing in the boot (trunk) to quieten my stainless steel exhaust system :)

It's the K8 factory standard. I wouldn't worry how easy/difficult it is to move the valves, as long as they behave as above. (You won't see the first opening unless you have it on a dyno).
