Car will sometimes stall when i shift into neutral and a

Whenever im driving along and then decide to shift into neutral and put the brake on...the rpms drop to like nothing and the car will sometimes stall out. The only thing i have done prior to this problem is clean my k&n air filter and get an exhaust leak fixed. Any suggestions on what this could be? My friend thinks my 02 sensors could be screwed...

note: the check engine lights don't come on when im just driving normally...it will sometimes flicker though if it's about to stall out after the rpms drop to like zero.

PCV Valve? When mine was going, everytime i pressed teh brake with either clutch engaged or neutral, after the engine was warm, the idle woudl start fluctuating from 1500 to 500rpm, amd feel like ti wanted to stall, but never did...check it out, its a $3 part at canadian tire...

A way to check (for what my mechanic showed me) is to pull out the pcv vanve when the car is running, if its good, the car wont stall, or do anything different, if it isnt, the car will stall

Hmmm i got mine replace ~15,000km's ago. I'll drop by mazda and pick one up today...i'll post my results.

I've seen this problem before on a civic. The rear main seal wasn't in all the way, which caused there to be no end play in the crankshaft. Thats the first thing I would check.

My car's indiglo gauges dim quite a bit every time I cause the rear brakelights to light up....i have no clue why this is. Maybe a bad ground?

I never stalled out though...it sounds like a PCV valve thing.

The rear main oil seal. You can`t visually inspect it without removing the transmission, but if you take it to your repair shop and ask them to check for end play in the crankshaft. That will narrow your problem down.
