Air release overflow tank?

Post by Midnight.Son »

About 3 weeks ago I purchased a 1993 MX-3 GS. The only mechanical problem according to the previous owner was the the Air Release Overflow Tank has a leak. This was told to her by her mechanic. They stated the problem was that the tank is made from two halfs and glued together and that in our hot weather this has caused it to start leaking and would need to be replaced.

My problem is:
I can't seem to find a part on the car that fits this discription, or find a part that resembles or is named this in my service manual.

My question is:
Does anyone know of this part, is the name wrong, or do you know where it is located?

Its right under the air filter inlet pipe behind the radiator on the drivers side. It has a radiator style cap on it.

No the Charcoal canister captures gas fumes, this is the piece that bolts to the radiator, the rad cap fits on top of it.
