Re: v6 swap
lol, no kidding...just an FYI, tranny is OK, harness OK, ECU, well that depends on the ECU/VAF combo your going for and which 2.5l engine your going for (KLZE or KLDE), but for the most part, yes, change it
Just an FYI, here's some threads i highly recommend you read:

And:

and when your doing searches, for engine info
KLZE: Japanese 2.5L v6, 198hp
KLDE: North American 2.5l v6, 164hp
KL03: Different name (but not proper one) for a KLDE

Re: v6 swap
fyi = for your information.
MX3 with 160 bhp, I'd be suprised to get better than 16s for the 1/4 . 0-60 high sevens.
You're only adding 30 bhp so don't expect anythin too dramatic. The in gear performance and flexibility should be far, far better though.

Re: v6 swap
Ummm the MX-6 and Probe that engine came out of ran high 15's stock. How do you subtract over 200lbs and go slower?Originally posted by HFStuart:

Re: v6 swap
My mistake - for some reason I had the Probe down as high 16s rather than 15s. Brain clearly in neutral...
In UK spec the weight of a Probe/MX-6 and an MX-3 is pretty much the same so I wasn't factoring that but I was thinking about the shorter gearing.

Re: v6 swap
since were talking about v6 2.5l, do you guys have any info about like... ?L/100km or stuff like that, engine fuel info... i really wanna nkow, cuz i did the math and its 16$ if you wanna be able to do the same distance with i4 and v6 1.6l engine (mx-3) and i wanted to know if i swaped it for a 2.5l, how much more it would cost, cuz i gotta make a wise decision, fuel efficient = less money spent on gaz, or more power = more fun... lolol anyways
