HEELLLP BRAKES WENT WEIRD GOING FAST 103 OCTANE!

k i got a ncie tank of 103 octane today. and let me tell you after 100kmph i makes a huge difference. feels liek a small shot of nos. but anyways iw as rippin at about 200 and then i saw the end of the raod so i hit my brakes just about as hard as i could be for the abs bull**** kicks in and then i stopped intime to still be alive. then right after i stoped at the next intersection and it took me a hell of a lot longer to stop.. would i of done some damage?? or maybe they were just really hot and not working right?? cause i put my hand on my brake pad and almost scalded it they were soooooooo hot. thanks

If you warp your rotors you can feel it pulsate when you put your foot on the brakes. You can actually feel the car shake. So if your not feeling that, then I dont know. Go out and drive it again and see what it does.

You may have glazed your pads over.... Thats REALY ****IN rough on the pads, and the whole braking system come to think of it.
I saw a street sign yesterday that said Caution! Children playing! so I slowed down. Then I thought Wait! I'm not afraid of children!

I was disappointed when I got my MX3 'cos the brakes seem to fade quite quickly: I have got a steep decline where I live with lots of corners. By the time you get to the bottom the brakes certainly arnt as efficient as up the top. Ok though. if you are worried get some better discs /pads to work at higher temp and dissapate heat more efficiently. I just go a bit slower

ya it was closer to 220 before but then i slowed down. and i do have cross drilled rotors haha so. i'm going to go try them right nwo. they've had a night to cool down

That extra shot of octane over and above the rich running nature of the car really isn't going to do anything for the car other than allow it to burn cleaner. The small shot of nawzz that you feel in the butt is probably due to the fact that over 100kph you are in a good rpm range for acceleration in 5th gear. Anything under 3000rpm in 5th feels sluggish due to the gearing.

k i know that i felt a difference so don't be gay and do that bull**** crap, better fuel does make a difference.

Re-shaped and re-sized gearshift lever. Best driveability mod you can do!
Extra thick soundproofing in the boot (trunk) to quieten my stainless steel exhaust system :)

that was some good reading. I normally use 89 octane.....but if I have to use my N20 (that's actual nitrous not just a feeling when I'm in high rpm :p ) I have to use 92 or higher to avoid detonation.
