hmm there is no american klze. the american 2.5l would eb the klde out of a probe or mx6. but to answer your question it is YES for the intake manifold valve covers but the others i honestly couldn't tell you. but whatever you can take out of a klze and put on yoru car you can take out of a klde

You could take everything but the internals from a KL, KF, or K8 and they'll bolt right up to any other without problems. You shouldn't interchange the heads though because putting KL heads on a K8 will decrease the compression ratio which isn't good.

You would be better off buying the 2.5 liter motor, Modding the 1.8 liter is like kicking a dying horse you won't get a lot of power out of it.

is this the general idea about the mx3???
I don't think any insurance companies in the uk would insure a klze engined mx3. i don;t know whether to rebuild and turbo the 1.8 or fit a klze.

Insurance companies in the Uk WILL insure an MX-3 with KLZE, but you will have to search about, try kit car insurers, or companies like Adrian Flux who specialise in modded/tuned cars. Mine is insured by a company called Sabre through a Ins.broker named Thames City (0870 6061409).
I agree with Si, you would have to be a bit of Mazda enthusiast to spot it was a was a different engine (the only visible difference is that the In Manifold is a bit bigger). A few garage mechanics have had a look under the hood of my car and the only one who noticed it wasn't a 1.8 was the one who drove it.

BadMX I think you guys have the 2.0 V6 readily avalible there these engines also produce 170hp that could be another choice.

The UK-spec Mazda V6's are the 1.8(135bhp), 2.0(145bhp), 2.5(165-168bhp).
You could if your very lucky maybe source a KLZE from a Jap import MX6, or 2.0 KFZE from an import 323/Lantis(I think that's the one Lazzyie is referring to)
The car will pass emissions on the MOT test as long as it is set up with the correct VAF/ECU combination(i.e. KLZE-JE50/KL36).
Relevant emissions levels for the 1.8 & 2.5 are the same so you don't have to tell them they are testing a 2.5. Your MOT certificate does not have the engine size or the engine number recorded on it.
[ July 13, 2003: Message edited by: mmac ]
