MX3 Gear Ratios are aweful

Is it just me or are our gear ratios bad? Like I get terrible freeway mileage because if I want to go 70, its at around 3500 on the rpm. Is this like everyone elses? Hopefully. And does anyone know of any solutions, I am not familar with our tranny's. Well i don't know much of what can be said for this, but any help or comments are welcomed and greatly appreciated.

yup its the same for me, i drive on the highway every day and it sucks, but when i gwt my ze im using its tranny cause the 5th ratio is better, people use the mx3 one for racing but i dont see needing 5th gear much on a drag strip...

yep, mx3 is definetaly not a highway car, but I love it in the city. You can still manage to get 26-29 mpg on a highway if you do speed limit <p>The easiest solution would be to swap to 626 tranny if you could find one. MX6 tranny would be better too.
