The air filter my car came with was pretty much standard other than the filter had been changed with a K&N replacement and half a dozen holes drilled in the bottom of the box... makes a similar noise to an induction kit

Sure thing, I made mine out of a Ractive Heat Shield filter and a bendable dryer tube that goes down into the fender well. I didn't even need a MAF adapter because I have a 95 and the MAF is a standard 3" circle. Check it out and let me know if you have any questions. The CAI is about 2/3 of the way down this page.<p>http://www.msu.edu/~leonar40/Car.html

Even if you did get rain sucked in, just get a bypass valve to go on the intake, this will prevent hydro-locking.

Hey man thanx, thats exactly what i was looking to do, i just want to know where all the sensors go, and where you got the aluminum piping for that, and the connectors and the coupling. Can you find them anywhere or did you have to go to a shop?

The filter was $40 including shipping, and the dryer tube was free because I had an extra one laying around.

the piping was cut from a civic intake, you can find any old filter for like 20 bucks, the civic intake was 50 bucks, and I cut it to fit in our sensor.

is it a factory civic intake or an after market intake tube, and what about the sensors?? how do they fit back into the pipe if you took out all the other stuff.

I cut the civic aftermarket intake in 2 parts then took our sensor and put it in between the cut piping. Its really simple just use basic knowledge and cut it, just fit the sensor on the intake somewhere and you'll be fine it dont matter where it is
