That's very interesting. Fig. 11 in the SAE paper shows four VRIS states across the rev band (which my car seems to comply with) whereas the manual (page F2-100) shows six.
Re-shaped and re-sized gearshift lever. Best driveability mod you can do!
Extra thick soundproofing in the boot (trunk) to quieten my stainless steel exhaust system :)

The SAE paper is primarily concerned with the KLDE, whereas your manual is concerned with the K8.

Does anyone have info of the KL VRIS band? I want to know at what RPM the valves should open. I have the info on the K8, but it opens at different RPM's.

If you haven't already, register at ProbeTalk.com The subject of VRIS points comes up there on a weekly basis. A search should yield lots of answers. Also, it's a good site to search as thier archives have more information that here.
