2.5 VAF and 1.8 VAF

1.8VAF has 5 wires coming out of it<p>
2.5VAF has 3 wires coming out of it...<p>whats the difference? and what wires to what?

Eunos 30x, v6
KL-ZE, 2.5in exhaust, K&N intake
Unichip, LSD, 13lb flywheel, ACT2 clutch, NGK iridium Plugs, Top Gun Leads...<p>Goin In

they both fit on using the harness....<p>didn't you keep the harness?

ya i got the harness,
the difference being one is a
different VAF type then the other
ones got the movable cone in the middle that
opens when it needs air the other is
always open and has a hot air needle that
sits in the tube. both are different.

The cone one is a VAF the other one is a MAF.

ah ok <p>so he actually gave me a ZE maf...
hmmmm
well i need the VAF so i guess im gonna have to
go back and get the proper one.... although
from what i see and can tell the VAF for the 1.8 and ZE are the same in everyway including parts #s.

the 1.8 VAF and the 2.5 VAF are both the same.. part number JE50 from memory.. if your engine came with a MAF, then the ECU you are using controls a MAF and will have a sh*t of a time controlling a VAF.. unless of course you are using your 1.8 ECU??<p>@ds
