Difference between 92-93 and 94-95 K8 flywheel

Post by mikeseli »

This is my first post to the MX-3 community, since I often hang around at PT(Probetalk). BTW I did perform a search and found nothing talking about if a difference does exist between K8 flywheels.
I would like to know if the 92-93 and 94-95 K8 flywheels are the same. I'm asking this because after some research I found out that the 92-93 clutch disc is 215mm(8.5") in diameter and the 94-95 clutch disc is 225mm(8.875") in diameter.
Are the K8 flywheels interchangeable?
Can all K8 flywheels be used on MX6/PGT transmissions?

New info!!!!!
92-93 flywheels are stamped K801, whereas 94-95 are stamped KS01.
So, is there a difference. Somobody in the mx-3 community must know this or came across this issue. Is there a weight diference?
