Post by babyblue »

Hey I dont know a whole lot about cars but I was wondering what exactally might be damaged if my mx3 was left out in the snow with out a hood so that there was about 4 inces of snow on everything and some ice too? Its going to be coverd under insurance 'cause the carstar place screwed up and left it out over christmas so if anyone could let me know of some potential problems I can menton to them that would be great thanks a bunch

in my neighborhood...your engine would get stolen, and if you're lucky you might find someone sleeping in the empty spot

I'd worry about vacuum leaks or moisture in the block now. I hope your coolant can withstand it. If they're smart they'd take it in the garage and let it sit over a drain until it all melts off, then go over the hoses and everything. What is it in the shop for without a hood anyway?

ur belts are gonna most likely be destroyed for starters, the electronics like ignition and various sensors cannot get wet so they would be bad. theft is a major concern also. at the very least get a car cover or even secure a tarp to the vehicle to prevent water from getting into the engine bay
