need answer quick ( transmission "fuziness")
I might sound freaky about this one, but it bugs me.
It's very humid today and my car started doing something strange.
When I have my foot on the clutch and the car in neutral, the car idles normaly. But when I shift the car in any gear at a standstill, the idle suddenly jumps aprox. 300 rpms higher(850/900)?!?!?! It's never done that before. Putting it back to neutral fixes it ans drops the rpm to about 650 rpms. Does anyone have a clue on this?! is it anouncing a major repair or is it just a stupid hydraulic problem--> (clutch master cylinder or the cluth slave cylinder)or even better my imagination. Just so you know, I'm very aware of what goes on on the cluster when i'm driving, always looking at the needles and everything to make sure things are running fine!

92 mx-3 GS .greeeeeeeen!
Honda !!!, what do you mean Honda??
Oh sorry, you meant that piece of crap parked next to my car! oh sorry again, I meant to say lawnmower....

I just got mine but I noticed mine does it, idles higher when in gear then when not in gear. Hope it's not a problem or anything like that.

The PCM (ECM, ECU) receives signals from the clutch and neutral switches. These have an input to the BAC(IAC) valve, I believe the PCM is just anticipating the engine's need for more air/fuel as you start to move.
KLZE, ZE PCM, UR pulley, PS catback, PS STS, PRM, IAC bypass, 64mm TB, FOP hair gel

My car does that too, but very little, like maybe 50rpms, that is normal when shifting from neutral to first gear.
