Please help!!!!!

Please help. I have a 93 mx3 gs and just recently it started to die on me while driving, I just lose all power Im going along and all of a sudden the rpm meter just drops all the way down so i have to pull over and sit for only like thirty seconds before i can start the car again. If I try to start it immediatly it wont, but once started im on my way and it usually wont do it again for the rest of the day. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or ever heard of such a thing. could it be my distributer cap? I dont lose complete power just engine power. Please reply

Go get your distributor changed it is about to die. Soon it will stop and never start again until you put a new one in.

exact same thing happened to me two weeks ago...... then it started to die....i got the entire distributor replaced and it works fine now

Well what was the problem and how did you fix it.... Come on guys. Inquiring minds would like to know.

well we took off the distributor and when the cap came off, the seal inside was broken, and also a piece of the distributor was cracked itself. I have no idea how it broke, but oil was getting in there. Special props to teri for helpin out. PEACE.
