To anyone with a V6 Auto:
Can you guys help me out real quick. I think i'm loosing low end power somehow. Next time you drive you Auto GS, can you please floor it from a stop and see what RPM you hit 30mph at? Also, do your tires chirp at all when you floor it from a stop? My tires don't chirp and I hit 30 at 5500 RPMs.....that just seems like it's lagging a bit. I'm thinking it could either be my torque converter or my catalitic converter....but I just need to make sure this isn't normal for the Autos.
THanks a lot.

Will you see when RPM your car hits 30mph at?
Re: To anyone with a V6 Auto:
I had a V6 with auto and its normal not to chirp the tires on full throttle starts.
I would just replace it with a 5 speed like i did. The auto only hinders the V6 and makes it perform like a 4cyl.
Look for a used rebuilt tranny and do the swap if you wanna chirp or melt the tires.

I'm planning on switching to 5 speed this summer when I drop a KLZE in it. How much was your 5 speed swap? Parts and labor?
Re: To anyone with a V6 Auto:
ok, the results are in: 30mph goes by at about 5500rpms. the tires have never chirped off the line, although they scrabble around a bit in the rain like most cars.
Dude.

Thanks a lot. Then my GS is naturally sucky. Don't get me wrong, I love my MX-3, but it's slow as dirt. At least until I get a KLZE and 5 speed.
