Ive got a 1991 Mazda MX3, but sometimes when i come up to lights or a stop sign etc in 3rd and put my foot on the clutch, or change down to second and then on the clutch it idles roughly or sometimes stalls. Ive been told it could be my EGR Valve, Distributor or ISC (idle speed controller). PLEASE HELP!!! i dont know whats wrong
Re: EGR Valve, Distributor, ISC controller- Somethings Wrong
This could be a couple things. It could be any of those things. It could also be faulty spark plugs or wires. When was the last time you had a tune up. It could be your distributor or your rotor. This is going to be hard to diagnose. Try this first. Remove your btn fuse from the control box under the hood and hold the brake for ten seconds. This will reset your computer. It might Idle high all of a sudden thats cool. Just adjust the idle down to anywhere from 750-900 rpms when shes good and hot. If that doesn't work look at your distributor cap, rotor, and spark plugs. The gap should be at .45. Make sure all those are good first. Then we can look at some more things. Maybe it could be your bac valve.
