Got a question about engines for you v6 guys......

Post by fieval79 »

Alright, soon (prolly early next year) I am going to do a 4-6 swap. I have a list of everything I need to buy (I already have some of it)......anyways.......
The question I'm asking is.....which would be better for a supercharger? The Kl-03 or the Kl-ZE? I already have a supercharger lined up for it, that bolts on to either engine. I've heard that the 03 would be better because of lower compression.....but I've just heard that.
Can anyone help me out?

I know Jeff Abrams did a lot of research before he swapped to the 2.5L in his GS. He picked the KL03 because of lower compression for his supercharger.

actually if you check out his site, he actually says that when he first got the engine he thought it was a ze, but it turned out to be a 03.
steve :D

I am going to turbocharge the ZE because it already has 200 HP, and it will take prolly 2-3 PSI boost to get the 03 to 200HP (crank) and I've heard it will only hold a max boost of 8 PSI. In the forementioned thread, Dave Coleman says some guy is running 7 PSI to his ZE. That is what I am planning on doing.....but it's still in debate.
[ November 30, 2001: Message edited by: VizualXTC ]
