2.5 swap into an Automatic?

Hey, I just purchased a 1993 MX-3 with 55k miles, and want to do the 2.5L Kl-ZE swap, but the problem is, my car is an automatic...can I do the swap anyway? it sorta feels like the clutch is already slipping on the auto, so if I had to repair it anyway I'd go ahead and beef it up somehow. I don't really want to convert it to a manual for cost reasons, although frankly I wish it already had one. Is there any way to strengthen the automatic? what if I got an auto from an MX-6? let me know...i'd rather not spend another thousand on transmission on top of the engine. thanks.

how much/how hard do you think it would be to install? that's cheap for a tranny, i might just do it if the changeover isn't too hard. i've got some friends here in gville that could help put it in if your interested. thanks for the link, and i'll see ya around.

are you ready for this?<P>i went through 4 tranny's in my mx-3's lifetime so far. 3 of them were under warranty and the last one i had to pay from my own pocket. That was little over a year ago and its gone yet again. I am also doing a convertion but with a KL03. I also converted the auto to manual with a copper performance clutch.
