this may seem weird but.....

Post by RayRay »

This may seem weird but i think my my v6 can actually backfire. if i shift hard at or near redline there's a loud pop from the muffler. that is backfire isn't it? all i have is a custom catback and hks intake. does this happen to anyone else?
------------------
Ray
'92 GS
tharaynman@aol.com

My 88 Honda Accord backfired all the time when gave it some taste in the red, so i think anything is possible.

Mine does that as well. I can even get a flame out the back (visible at night). Mine has done it ever since I changed my exhaust. I actually cut my cat out and replaced the piping from the headers.
i am hoping to fix it by replacing my resonator with something that will deaden the sound a bit better. My neighbours are getting a bit sick of me.
J.
