Hi
I just wired up my amp high level, and I have no idea where the remote wire goes. I am using the stock GS SE deck.
Thanks

Re: remote wire help!!
You can try to hook it up to the switchable 12 volt in the radio wire harness. The only problem with that is that the amp will be on when the car is on, no matter if the stereo is on or not.

Re: remote wire help!!
Thanks. I dont mind the amp being on with the stereo on. Where would I find this wire? Is there a way of doing this without removing the stock stereo since I dont know how to?

Re: remote wire help!!
Well here's a nice solution, actually two.
You can either find a 12v switchable that is only on when the car is on...OR!
Alot of people like the ability, especially if they have dumb cops like we do, to KILL the amp.
Hook the amp up on switch so that it dies when you want it to...ANYWAY!
That remote wire is only detecting if there is 12v's coming through it soooo
Find a decent spot for a switch, center console, under the steering wheel to the left, on the dash, in your visor(i have one for my tv there haha) Anyway....
Just hook the remote wire up to basicly any power source, fusebox, anywhere, then hook your switch up...you'll be all set...

Re: remote wire help!!
I like the switch idea.
if you are looking for a switched 12 volt source, you can always grab it out of the ignition harness that goes up towards the steering wheel.
It's a 10gauge black with red stripped wire.

Re: remote wire help!!
I put in in the radio fuse in the fuse box. Is this ok?
