ALTS!!!!

Post by LooseChangeRacing »

Ok so far this is what I have found for upgraded alts.

Very Little System
90 amp alt from probe or gs
(used or new I got mine for $20)
Decent System
130 amp alt from 95 milennia
($250)
Pro System
180 amp alt
($370)
COMP SYSTEM
200 amp alt
($390)

Those are the cheapest prices and alts I've found, just some info for all you out there.

I believe I'm going to get the 200 amp so that I can upgrade to basicly whatever whenever. And if you plan on getting the 180 just save $20 more and get the 200....

I'm actually not sure what brand it is...but I know you'll know as soon as I tell you where I'm getting it! haha....It's Iraggi, I'm not quite sure if he makes custom alts or if he just modifies originals...

Iraggi makes them 100% from scratch. he's AWESOME. He made mine. 220+ amps adjustable to 16volts. HIGHLY recommended

I just paid $25 for a harness (** Alternators) to go from Mazda To a GM CS140 I bought GM alt for a Turbo Diesel putting out 200amps! Modded some brackets still under $100 US.

Unless you're a hardcore SPL competitor who has already tweaked every last box paramter, what's the point of doing anything more than upgrading to the Millenia alternator? Most upgraded alternators with internal regulators really won't give much in gains anyways when held to the RPM limit of the competing organization.

I am a SPL Freak!! To get away with RMP limits in Comp I just add a Smaller pully to the Alt. When my engine is @ 2k RPM I am running the Alt. at max Amp output!

At the time I got it I was competing every weekend. Not so much anymore. My alt peaks around 1500 so at idle (1100ish) it's doing pretty well.
