Ratteling Trunk Problem
Ok well heres my problem, from the inside my bass sounds extremely good. But from the outside the trunk is just vibratnig way to much and you can hear it. If I push down on the trunk a bit it seems to stop vibrating. Is it possible to make the trunk close tighter, or to somehow just make it stop vibrating so dang much.

Re: Ratteling Trunk Problem
more then likely its your plastic rattling from inside
I removed all the plastic till i find a way to fasten it, and i also adjusted the hatch latch so its a tighter fit. (all u need is a wrench to loosen the bolt on the latch)

Yeah adjust the hatch latch or from what I hear a lot of people from the mailing list use eletrical tape around it and it stops it from rattling.

If it was the plastic rattling on the inside, he'd be able to hear the noise on the inside too.Originally posted by BoomerX54:

I'd adjust the trunk latch to make it pull closed tighter.

Re: Ratteling Trunk Problem
I never said I did that, but if you want a quick temp. fix, thats how you do it. Adjusting the latch is easy enough but some people are lazy and want the quick way out.
Re: Ratteling Trunk Problem
also..all the wiring the runs along the hatch(underneath the plastic)... silicone it down...u can also try doing that to the plastics but i didnt have much luck with that

Re: Ratteling Trunk Problem
Pull the trim off the latch attached to the body. There is a bolt into the body on each side. Loosen both bolts, and try to push the latch mechanism down some more and bolt down while holding it in the new position. Pretty much the same for any car - hatch or trunk.Originally posted by BumpNGlow:
