Tie rods?

Has anybody replaced the tie rods themselves if so how hard is it,what tools do i need and how long will it take? My girlfriend slid into the curb when it was snowing and bent it! Thanks for any help!!

Jack the front end up, take the wheel off. <p>You need needle nose pliers or dykes to get the cotter pin out of the tie rod castle nut. Take the nut off and use a hammer or tie rod end pullers to seperate it from the spindle. If you use the hammer don't hit the threads, instead hit it on the side of the tie rod.<p>Mark the jam nut to the steering arm to get it close to the original position. Unscrew the old tie rod and installation is reverse of removal.<p>When you're done, you MUST have it realigned. Good luck. ;)

Thanks but it looks like i'm going to have to replace the inner tie rod!!
