5-1/4 (This will fit with no modifications)
6-1/2 (This will fit, but will require a custom mount/pod)
6x9 (This will require a MAJOR hack job)
What i did was re-enforce the rear hatch cargo cover, pop out two 6x9 holes, and slipped in a pair of Infinity Kappas in there. They sound f---ing suweet!
Don't let anyone tell you bull s--- about 6x9's on the cargo cover. Cause they sound f---ing good!

6 1/2's require no modification and fit better than 5 1/4's

I used Eclipse 6 1/2's and all I needed were some pieces of metal pipe strapping. You should be able to get a roll of it at any hardware store for a couple of dollars.
Steve

This is what you do. YOu put 6.5's. One hole lines up perfectly. You need to drill a small hole in the outer ring for one other screw, and the other one needs a washer that holds the metal part of the speaker down agasnst the mounting plastic thing. Kinda confusing over the computer but i hope u can figure it out.

Hey, I just got my mx3 and love it! I just put in some 6-1/2" Alpine speakers, and they sound really nice. Just had to make a mounting ring to get them to fit.

I got my 6" 1/2 installed at Futureshop...Later when i inspect the rear speakers I saw lots of tapes...probably not a good idea to install speakers at futureshop...those mechanics got no brain...
