installing a deck
well, i was at my house tonight and me and my buddy were going to install my deck, and then it dawned on us, how in the blue f--- does that plastic trim come off with the cigarette lighter in the way and how come the face of the factory CD player is pulling off while the rest of it isnt moving out? any help would be appreciated.

Are you trying to take apart the whole console??? If so, DON'T.<P>To take out the stock deck, you need to:<BR>1) take off the SIDE trim pieces on either side of the deck. They're just little strips of plastic that are clipped into the Left and Right of the deck.<P>2) Once you've done that, you should see 4 round holes, 2 on each side. You have to insert a metal rod into each hole to release the clips that are holding the deck in place. Most people just take an old hanger, and cut it up, then stick it in. Once you pry it outwards, the deck will pop forward slightly, and you will be able to slide it out.<P>3) Then just unplug the wires at the back, blah blah blah.<P>FYI: <A HREF="http://www.mx-3.com/tech/audsys/" TARGET=_blank>http://www.mx-3.com/tech/audsys/</A>
