macintosh amps!!!!!!

ok people,<BR> well got a ?,i want a new amp, i like the macintosh but, well i cant find em and or any info on em.all i know is that they cost a pretty penny.now i like zapco, as well as phoenix gold.if anybody has any info on this please help me out!!!i am curently running a soundstream reference 405s and a alpine mrv1000 v12 .i think i want to get rid of the alpine.i got 2 10" polks and a pair of boston pro series 6/5 seprates in the front and rear.with a alpine cva1000 head and sony xe-744 graphic eq, just for looks realy but im using it for the sub output.i still havent got the alpine cha1214 changer in a couple of weeks i will.so i just use my ps2 for cd's.anyhow if anybody has any suggestion's on any improvements feel free to comment .i don't want comp.sound just nice tight base and clear sound .it currently sounds ooookkkk but always room for improvements.<BR> thnx

You mean <A HREF="http://www.mcintoshlabs.com" TARGET=_blank>McIntosh</A>? Its not Macintosh. They are REALLY GREAT amplifiers! If you can afford them, and you care about your Sound Quality, GET THEM! The other brand thats great is <A HREF="http://www.zapco.com" TARGET=_blank>Zapco</A>. I like them a lot as well, but they are more for high output systems(from the tests I have seen on them). They make numerous 1000watt+ amplifiers. <A HREF="http://www.phoenixgold.com" TARGET=_blank>Pheonix Gold</A>, is just ok. They are more "affordable," and are still great looking amps.

They do make some very nice class d's but they also make smaller wattage class a/b for regular component use etc.<P>Phenoix gold is another great brand, very high quality as well.

well,<BR>looks like im going to have to sell my stuff and start all over amp wise cause i have to have the mcintosh amp's i all i can say is when i read up on it & saw it, let's just say thank god for my pc desk & i did'nt have to stand up !!!!!!im in love!!!!!!the mcc602tm and the mcc404m are on my list of got to get and getting, got to sell alot of my s*it though and put mad hours at work!!!!! hey thnx for the site i was lookin for ever for it but i know why i couldnt find it now!!!if any body wants an alpine mrv1000 v12 amp and an mtx thunder 2120 let me know i'll hold on to my soundstream for a little bit i still need sound in my car i can run my whole system off it it's 6 channel 4 for front and rear and my sub's but i will be sell that soon to!!!!!<BR> thnx again!!!!!!!!!

Macintosh amplifiers are amazing amplifiers, I am running a 6 channel mac in my car for everything and the quality and output of the amplifiers is outstanding. You get what you pay for when it comes to electronics and trust me you pay a lot but get extreme quality in return.
