Suggestions on new system

Post by MX-3freak »

I just had my subs and amp stolen from my car. I was running a very very cheap system that a freind had given me from a long time ago. It was 2 12" Earthquake Subs and a 600Watt Kenwood amp. Right now I'm looking for a new system and do not know much about them so I am looking for suggestions on good subs and amps and what makes a good combination.

You should go with planet audio speakers all the way around. They are amazing speakers, they never bottom out and have amazing highend range. Note to metion that the new planet audio subs " The Neo" Has a new inovative design where the spaeker coil is infront of the speaker, so it will never burn out. Also they us a very strong magnet on it just like the magnets on tweeters, so very little space is taken up.
My advice go and listen to every thing and way the cost to sound ratio. Planet ausio is awsome and if you go to a good dealer won't be to expensive... :D

For the ultimate hard hitting in your face bass... go with the Orion HCCA's, Memphis SHP's, or the killer Memphis LVS's (one 12" LVS is like $1300)! My truck was running 110dB with 2 12" SS Rubicons runing 200W in sealed enclosures. If I'd pushed them to their limits with the right amp, I'd have been close to 140dB.

It may sound like 150 SQ but for sound pressure level (SPL) you need a port. The van you saw, when you close the doors completes the box (they clamp them shut), they basically put the db meter in the box.

Agree 100% man.

quote:
I've seen a van hit 169dB.
