Is there something wrong?

Post by marius »

Some guy in an old Nissan Maxima(a 90 I believe) with 4 people in it cut me off on the highway while driving on the shoulder. I wanted to cut him off back. As soon as the car in front of him moved out of the way, he took off like a bat outta hell. I had my pedal on the floor , the RPMs revved up to 4000-4500 and didn't go any faster until I had to wait for the auto tranny finally switch gears while the old maxima was disappearing down the highway. Are these old Nissans actually faster than a GS or is this how an auto GS really runs or is there something wrong with my auto tranny?

If it is tranny slippage, is it something to worry about? Will it get worse if it's not looked at right away?<p>thanks
