I have a 92 mx3 rs , i have heard that the best swap that i can make on a budget is the bp from a 90-94 protege lx, is this true and also how about the transmission, do i have to change it too, and what other parts are necessary for the swap?

try the speedometer cable for a 83-87 626, it's the one i used, and it only cost me $10. Good Luck.
