Re: How long have you owned your MX3?
kakarot135 - Good luck on that GS, you'll love it! Josh - I wish I'd known about all the swap options before tearing into my RS years ago. Just swapped another B6ZE into it I pulled from a 95 parts car I picked up for 350 a couple years ago. Figured I should put the engine to use, with under 120k on...

Re: alternate window switch option
i think you have saved me millions in window switch wages I LIKE IT!!!!!!!!! That was the idea! lol The problem I've had has been the switch's 'shell'. They just seem to get brittle and break over time: the tabs on the side or the underneath part that makes the physical contacts. Haven't had proble...

Due to work schedule changing drastically this week, I probably won't be ...

Re: alternate window switch option
Not a direct fit. But there are no others that would be, from what I've heard. http://i1052.photobucket.com/albums/s443/projexladen/IMG-20121030-00811.jpg (my first pic posted, yea!) Haven't decided how I want to mount it. It rides fine where it is, but that just can't last long... Considering getti...

alternate window switch option
I know this has been discussed before, and there's a great write-up on making other Mazda switches work in our MX3's, but I found something I have to share. At the local (recently found by me) pick-n-pull, there set a 90 or 91 Probe with power windows. I pulled the master switch and instantly recogn...

Re: How long have you owned your MX3?
haha! Just saw my error. Should've said my first mod to my GS was converting to MTX. It's fried atx budged it an inch, once, right after I bought it. I didn't think of it as a mod, it was an intense fix. What makes the RS great? It's an MX3! :froggie_red: I drove many happy miles over several years ...

I see you've been told many times, but I have to say it too, that is awesome, and clean!
Well done!

You're welcome. They also contain the washer you need. Mine also came with lubricant. Wish I'd known that before I bought a big tube of it! lol

Re: MX3 rear side air vents question
They just let air escape. They shouldn't let much noise in the car. I never noticed. One of mine was damaged when a lady backed into my RS. I picked one up from a salvage yard but the body shop didn't bother replacing it. It doesn't vent exhaust gas. You shouldn't have exhaust inside the car anyway....

Re: [WTB] Carpets
The 92/93 carpet differs a little from the 94+ due to the difference of seatbelts. Besides that, I think they are the same. Will work, will a little modification. The cargo carpet in the hatch is the same. Just FYI...

I'm now bummed he tossed it. Say it isn't so!
I'd take it. My 94 RS's 'carbon fiber' shift boot hasn't aged well

Re: How long have you owned your MX3?
IMO the RS is where its at! :) I bought my ATX RS in 01' first mod was wheels and a JY turbo kit, then came the MTX :) Your AWD RS, certainly! I started looking into doing that when I found out some protege's and 323's were AWD, but it was beyond my skill level then, and I didn't know a good welder...

Re: How long have you owned your MX3?
Glad I'm not the only one started with an RS, lol Looks like 2004 was a good year for several of us! Bought it online from a former member here, flew to Vancuover and drove it home... I have always wanted to do something similar. Would love to drive back a 94+ with a KLZE, from anywhere. beating out...
