Mevotech components
hey guys, I'll soon be ordering the last of the parts I need to redo the front end of my gs. I've seen Mevotech components on a few sites, and their prices are almost scary-low. Has anyone tried them? If so, any impressions regarding longevity and construction of the parts? I'm looking at tie rod en...

Re: auto gs/rs shift assembly compatibility
Figured I should post the outcome, should anybody have a similar question. After my earlier post on this thread, I didn't get to mess with the car for a long time, except to start it up and let it run for a while, to keep fluids circulating... The HOLD light began staying on all the time, no amount ...

Re: mx6 rear anti-sway/stabilizer end links
Took the car for a test drive, a few miles of dirt road, and rear end felt much better than before. Links look fine after the drive.
Even mismatched good links are better than a broken one, lol

Re: Running Lights stuck on after headlight relay meltdown
I'd suggest checking all the wires from combo switch to relay box. It's likely there's another short in there somewhere. A mechanic friend of mine was checking out his buddy's Nissan truck that had a similar issue. Turned out for it, some previous owner had used wire tap connectors on some wires und...

Re: Endlinks
Cool. I've thought about doing the same thing.
There's a few threads here about doing it.
Let us know how it goes!

Re: Endlinks
You're welcome. I haven't driven it yet, so can't say for sure. Even when I do, I'll have a mismatched set for a little while, so results may be skewed. Only issue I could see with mx6 links is link being 5/16" closer to the ground. It changes the angle of the bar just a bit, but I don't think ...

Re: Endlinks
about 3-3/16"
I don't have a caliper, so that's best I could do with a measuring tape.

Re: Transmission Shifter
I squandered time and a little material off a cutting disc to spare the dollars, hoping the bar falling loose was my only problem. Luckily, it was, and so I'll soon spend the money I spared then to fix it right. mazdaspeed23, I'd suggest you make sure the stud is properly tight in the transmission w...

Re: mx6 rear anti-sway/stabilizer end links
It was, and still kinda is... I'd like to see what it looked like before they 'fixed' it, but then part of me doesn't want to know... Likely it skirted insurance, else it may have been considered 'totaled'... I bought it as a parts car, but it's worth some work to see how it'll be on the road. Get a...

Re: mx6 rear anti-sway/stabilizer end links
Looks like both: hit something on front passenger side and went over it, and probably got hung up under the rear tire. You can tell from the crappy paint job the hood, fenders, and bumper cover were replaced. Car is white, parts used to be red. white paint is flaking off... I knew immediately when c...

Re: mx6 rear anti-sway/stabilizer end links
Don't see that as an insult, but it is interesting... I wanted to reduce the load on the links and bar while replacing the passenger side link. So, I noticed the angle difference with both tires off the ground, looking through the wheel well. I initially tried to fix the link, by pressing it back to...

Re: mx6 rear anti-sway/stabilizer end links
Seems unlikely to me too. But the angle for the link seems different from the other side, and this was the side that sustained most of the damage. I just went back outside to take the pics I forgot about earlier while fighting the rear engine/transmission mount, which was another mission accomplishe...

Re: mx6 rear anti-sway/stabilizer end links
Thanks, Ryan, I was thinking the same thing... Bummer I couldn't get the other mx6 link off. If the car ends up doing well enough for long-term use, I will most likely replace one of the links. I'll probably get another mx3 link to replace the one from the mx6. I'll take a few more pics and try to p...

Re: Transmission Shifter
Though I can't say why they'd call it a "torque bar", I can tell you what happens if you lose the stud, bushing, nut, and are left with that bar just hanging around not connected to the transmission at all: 2nd gear, basically gone. I'd call it a "shifter stabilizer bar" because ...

mx6 rear anti-sway/stabilizer end links
So basically, I found out mx6 rear anti-sway/stabilizer bar end links will work on the mx3. My recent addition to my 'collection' is a 95 RS atx that saw one heck of an accident some years back. Most of the physical damage had already been repaired, so the car was presentable. I got it cheap after i...
