do what i did one time: hook up a toggle switch to turn your gauges on and off... when your about to hit the limiter flip the switch and kill the gauges it will kill the limiter too...

I got sooo sick of waking up the neigborhood everynight so this morning i went out there and used a cresent wrench as a prybar and tightened the living hell out of them both... it was not easy but when i started it up it was quiet as ever.... hey i changed my transmission mount.. it is like a whole different car! belts stopped sqeeking car stopped vibrating. just a thought for everybody else having this problem... changing out the mount was a breeze too! $75 bucks U.S.

hey i have the same car.. and i have brand new tight belts, they still sqeak everytime i start it and everytime i put it into drive or reverse.. also the shaking was making me crazy so i found out it was my transmission mount and one of my motor mounts, well i ordered the mounts and i'm going to try...

Hmmm..... not sure yet... if the check engine light is still on take it to autozone for a free diagnostic. this is the one thing that has not happened to my car yet, but i'm sure it will. lol

Dude, i don't know about all that but why don't you ground them to the negative terminal on your battery? thats what i did works great

just loosen any bolt on the tranny that will not leak fluid and get a good connection there, I mean there is no specific place... also same on the throttle body...

Hey need some more help please.. when i press the a/c button my car idles very high, it goes from 750rpm's to 2100rpm's..... also a/c is not cold.... still have R12 in it... car is 92' 1.6L SOHC automatic 175,000miles... anyway any help will be greatly appreciated.. thanks again :crying:

well i don't know if this will help you out or not, I was having the same problem with my 92' 1.6L sohc automatic.... anyway i ended up doing a full tune up, O2 sensor, added 4 new grounds, also reset the idle from the diagnostic plug, and one of those fixed... since i did them all at the same time ...
