a cap will only drain if A) it's removed from the system B) your battery is dead and cannot provide the cap with any power so as long as the battery has power, the cap will too. so by your *installers'* statement, any cap not installed, would never hold a proper charge anymore....? a cap IS designed...

Those are front lower control arm bushings, while the LCA does mount to the subframe, they are not the same.

If you have coil clapping and its not going away i know many uses the trick of sliding a piece of rubberhose over the lowest part of the coil... Keeps it from beeing metal against metal, so the clunkingnoises goes away. you got it, it's coilslap. I had it, used some rubber tubing from HomDepot/Lowe...

Perches can be used from ANY 1997+ Escort or 1998+ ZX2. They all use the same thrust bearing.

I had the same thing with my H&Rs. The coils touch each other. I noticed it most when going slow over small bumps. Some ppl have never had this issue, some have. It's an H&R thing...lol YMMV you could wrap the coils temporaily with tape and see if the noise(s) go away. If you are 100% confid...
