Iv actually had a clutch do that on a mk 1 golf GTi ! Had to remove gearbox and chip friction plate off with a screwdriver...car was standing for 6 months.<p>Iv also got a renault Megane (yuck) which my Wife drives. Iv just fitted a $20 ractive filter directly to my Air flowmeter. Im well aware that once the engine bay warms up, i will loose the power. I have only just got mine too guys. And same as that #: didnt know what one looked like. truth told I wanted an MX-5 but couldnt afford it. Assuming a MX-3 looked like and MX-5, i took a look and glad I did. My 1.8V6 doesnt quite have the grunt of my old car but its a lot more fun

I thinks whats happening is that iv set my heart on a heatshield/ cold feed system and I wont accept anything less! The last thing i want to do is put a cone in the engine bay and Loose power due to the heat! And i aint spending any money on anything which will slow my car down
