Re: gas ****
I asked the exact same question, but the mechanic said as long as they use the '92 wiring harness and exhaust manifold, it would be fine. As for my o2 sensors, they are only 1 year old. I'm still a little worried about the engine because my check engine light comes on all the time.

gas ****
I don't know what to do. I just replaced the engine in my car with a '95 1.8L and it eats gas like crazy. The engine only has 105,000 kms on it and my old engine had over 300,000 kms. The old engine was great on gas. Any ideas?

Re: 92 gs engine problems
Well I had the exact same problem. I let it go for a long time and it would stall all the time. Finally I got a new engine put in because mine was over 300,000 kms. But my car still wouldn't run. I had to buy a new distributor and that fixed the problem right away. Just check all the connections and...

she's back
I got my car back on Wednesday and she runs better than ever. I had to get a new distributor too because oil had gotten to it. My check engine light comes on every now and then but the mechanic said that's normal while the engine settles. Plus my idle was at 1500-2000rpm so I adjusted that. It's gre...

Re: Finally!
I bought the car just over a year ago and it had 285,000 kms already on it. Apparently the last owner drove up north once a month to visit a girlfriend. I'm just glad it's lasted as long as it did.

Finally!
Well my car finally died on Wednesday on the freeway with semi trucks flying by me at 100km/h. It was really scary! I made it over the port mann bridge barely, then it gave up completely. I'm taking it in to have the engine done on Tuesday and I'll have it back on Thursday night (my birthday). I can...

Re: 300,000!!!!!
Just so you all know, the 300,000 kms is on the stock 1.8L engine from 1992, and it's still running strong. It's pretty impressive!

300,000!!!!!
My car finally hit 300,000 kms tonight. It was cool to watch all the numbers roll over. I taped it and took pics. I guess it's time for the new engine now. See you all on sunday.

Kev,<p> I've decided to show up again this year. I'll be bringing a friend, I'm just not sure who yet. By then my car should be back to normal. I can't wait. Talk to you later.
