i dont have a cat. converter

my car wont rev past 5500 rpm. when i hit that rpm point it studders boggs and backfires. i checked the ignition, timing is ok im using the kl36 ecu with the klze.i also tried using the k8 ecu. everything was good after i installed the motor but it suddenly i have this problem. anyone have any sugge...

thats the same exact set up i have....i spliced the afc 2 into my ecu...i just used the wiring diagram in the manual. try look on the apex website they have pdf files of instructions

i went to the tracks with my ze the other night. everytime i floored the gas, once i hit 6000 rpm it would bogg down and backfire. i would have to let out the case and then floor it again but at 6000 rpm it would happen again. my friend spectating said i had a lot of black smoke from my exaust. it o...
