Re: What do you do when you see another mx?
If I see one that looks like the owner is trying to fix it up I'll chase it and try to establish some kind of contact. Most of the people I see in passing get intimidated when they see my car and back off real quick. I wish they wouldn't. If I slow down to let them pull beside me they start to fall ...

Dude who took video of my car at show???
Sorry I didn't get his name. If the guy with the video camera who met me at the Place d'Orleans carshow on Wednesday May 28/ 2003 sees this posting please contact me. I would like a copy of the footage you shot. I forgot to ask you. I was the only MX3 on the lot (and I killed by the way) and yer fri...

Re: emisions
to pass emissions in Ont. after a swap all you need to do is take your car to Mazda and have them put in writing that thare is no way your car ever came with a 2.5 KL engine. It will then be classified as a 'hot rod' and be tested under 1980's emissions standards. Your odds of failing are now virtua...

Re: k8 salvage(post ze)
Keep everything. You never know what misc parts you may need. Well maybe not the internals. But keep all working sensors, extra nuts and bolts are handy, pullys and tensioners, valve covers, disty, IM, TB, alternator, well as much as you can strip off. Just the other day my coolant temp. sensor died....

Re: Springs/struts combos
I own Tokico blues.......and I love them. They are stiffer than stock but still streetable so you are not sacrificing comfort. I like them much better than KYB's....that was harsh. I lowered my car 1.6". And I slam my front end all the time. But that's because of my FX designs lip. I only have ...
