Sorry I must be tired, u don't need to unscrew the temp sensor. Just disconnect the connector going to the temperature sensor. Then use a jumper, to ground it out(on the ecu side). When I thought my fan was dead. I did a test. Take your coolant temperature sensor out, and ground it to the engine. If everything is ok, the fan will start spinning . Won't spin if there is a problem.

Try plugging the stock stereo back in, and see if that works. Otherwise double check every wire going to the radio.
