Fuse question
Under the hood of our cars there's a fuse box that says (AD FAN) 40A and ABS 60A. What does the AD FAN do and is it normal for the fuse to be blown from age?

Re: Help! Exhaust gas comes in through my vents!
Well my front valve cover leaks just a little but nothing in the rear, and yeah it smells like oil. It hasn't been doing it as much anymore tho which puzzles me. I'm still lost as to what it could be. Like I said before when I u plugged the egr no more smoke so maybe it has something to do with that?

Short shifter question
I bought a b&m short shifter #45071 and when I go to replace it with the stock one it just sits in the rubber isolator right? Or is there something that goes around the blue part of the b&m and then te both of those together go into the isolator?

Re: Help! Exhaust gas comes in through my vents!
Oh I know it's not magically coming from no where and I found a small coolant leak when I looked under the car. The leak is some where around the timing belt, but the smell isn't of burning coolant. Now I unplugged the egr and no smoke but just a faint smell of fumes.

Re: Help! Exhaust gas comes in through my vents!
If I have it on fresh air the smoke and fumes come in, if it's on recirculate no fumes or smoke. Now would coolant burning off smell sweet?
yes, it smells sweet, that's why cats love it and lick it all the time.
It sounds to me like your heater core might be leaking or where lines go through ...

Well there's no oil leaking it dry as a bone. The car literally does fill up with smoke and fumes.

Re: Help! Exhaust gas comes in through my vents!
When I was under there I couldn't hear anything that would sound like a leak. On the car I used to have it had an exhaust leak but nothing under the hood of the mx sounds like a leak.
