I feel the same way, and I live near one of the largest cities in the world - and I NEVER see any MX-3's!
But, I am not moving to Canada - its too cold for me here and I can imagine how much worse it is up there - lol

Re: Common oil leak on a 1994 MX-3 4cyl?
Well, I JUST got done with the valve cover, I will wait a couple days and report back and let you know that it is not leaking any longer (I hope)
Anyway, I met some really cool people (not in person, yet, but I will for sure!) through this forum, and I think I fixed my oil issue - so ... Thanks!

Re: Common oil leak on a 1994 MX-3 4cyl?
I am hoping that is NOT it - the oil is on top of that spot, at least I know for sure that the valve cover gasket needs to be done first, then I will re-re-clean it off and see what it looks like - pretty sure its just a valve cover though, no way oil is shooting up a foot into the air to cover the ...

Actually, I think it is still leaking now, but in the next couple days I should have the valve cover done, and then I will re-spray it down and clean it all off, let it dry a day, and hopefully I will be done.
Why did yours still leak after doing the O-ring and the Valve cover - did you ever get it ...

WOW - Thanks a ton Romeo - I will keep the suspension list you have in mind! And yes, I am for sure trying to go with the group buy for the bushings, if I can keep my money from my wife - lol

Re: The newest guy from the Chicago area - already wrenchin' ...
That is exactly it - and I did pay the whole $1600 too - mostly because after my research, and lurking on this site for a couple weeks, I noticed that this is a special car, not too many out there, and it shares a lot of parts with a couple other cars, so it was a chance to own a car that will cost ...

Wowza - nice mods!
Not right now, but maybe in the future?
Also, I would totally be willing to come up north - I am actually heading up that way today (Lake Forest)
Maybe next time we can at least hook up to meet - Shoot me some info on the "shop" like an address so I can google map it maybe I can ...

That would be the one - do you know this car more than I do already?
Yes, welcome to the club! Glad you're already getting some wrench time on the mx.
And yes, stupid place for the oil filter, or.... stupid place for the exhaust.

Distributor oil seal (when I bought it for $1600 USD, I think I got it cheap because it had a major oil leak - lol)
Oil change with filter (what a b---- of a place to put that thing!)
Fuel filter (yeah, that was fun too)
