Re: Loud Banging.. Please help
Sounds to me like a strut... But I really don't know much about cars. I just like to drive them.<P>Seriously though, I had a broken strut - all of the oil leaked out, and to top it off, I busted a spring right in half. I drove like that for about a month. Sounded like someone was slamming the trunk ...

Re: HELP FAST, new piant probs
DO NOT use any kind of silicone based product ANYWHERE near your car before it's painted. This includes your garage, detailing shops, etc. Silicone products like Armoral get airborne and sit beneath the paint, and bubble up through before it hardens. My father owns a paint shop, and I've seen it ...

Re: Idle stall - update
Would it be a safe bet to ductape your intake boot anyway? My car is bracing to hit 260000km, and I get some up and down idling... I've had some electrical problems (plugs, wires), and I'm just wondering if maybe I should tape up my accordian intake hose - you know, preventative maintenance. Can't ...

Re: Coolant Resevoir
Scary stuff... I had the same problem. My temperature guage sits just above half too! I had brown gunk in the coolant, and the stuff was starting to bubble out from beneath the cap. We flushed everything 4 times, and now the coolant is nice and blue, but the car still smokes, and now I've got a new ...

V6 Woes. Shuddering, loss of power.
In the low end (from 1000-3500), my car has recently started to jig along the road. It certainly doesn't have the power it had a month ago, and now I have what sounds like an exhaust problem - the car sounds like a helicopter... So, I shake along the road, with the helicopter sound, until somewhere ...

Re: Head gasket prices???
Heading for a garage... I'm not very mechanically inclined. I can drive pretty good, but I don't know s--- about my car :o. Kinda like 'Days of Thunder' heheh. Man, a swap would be awesome, but it's just not going to happen I wouldn't even know where to begin, and I don't thinkI have the money to ...

Head gasket prices???
Blew a head gasket in my V6.
I don't think a swap is going to be practical, damn it would be nice, but does anybody have any guesses on what it's going to set me back to replace the head gasket? I'm from the cold white north.

You can also use some plastic scratch remover and polish. Just buff it into the headlight covers, and it works magic. You may have to do it once every month. You can buy it at Novus Windshield.

Satisfied with your headlights?
Holding flashlights out the windows would have been better than my stock 45/65 headlights. I screwed a couple of 85/100s in, and I can see a little farther than before. Have you guys had trouble or been unsatisfied by your headlights?

Blown away by my MX3... <BR>'92 V6, 236000 kms. Incredible performance from the engine, not one single major problem, and it doesn't look like there will be one anytime soon.
