Re: Change only the fifth gear.
You will need both gears from the MX6/626, I have also found out that you can use ones from a 98 or newer Escort ZX2. I did a write up on changing the gears in my F-series transmission, hope it helps: http://mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=65282" onclick="window.open(this.href);re...

5th gear replacement (F-series)
I finally got around to changing my 5th gear set, it was pretty bad! I put the car up on ramps and blocked the back wheels http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p3/nerd_racing189/DSC00154.jpg Grab a 10mm socket and ratchet and take off the Plastic shroud http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p3/nerd_racin...

Re: rear hatch squeaks
OMG! I did that to mine and the creaking went away too! I thought it was my strut mounts making noise like they might have been loose! this should be a sticky!

Re: [FS] 1992 B6 drive train
I found a great set at the yard, I may go back and get a couple more sets of the tall ratio sets from an MX6 (4cyl) and an escort ZX2.

Sorry I wasn't sure if it was you or not that I had talked with. I am making a run up to a U-Pull It today, if I don't find anything I will shoot you an offer.

[WTB] Mazdaspeed Side Skirts and Front Bumper
I know its a long shot on the front bumper, but I just thought I would throw that out there. I am located in western NY, 14719 Zip. I really love the look of the Mazdaspeed parts on a Gloss Black MX3, and that is what I plan on doing.

Re: Change only the fifth gear.
I got mine out without pulling the trans. I had to unbolt the splash shield, a few of the bolts are a pain to get to, but they aren't unrealistically hard to get out. I'm making the trip to get the rest of my gear components Sunday or Monday so I'll have a nice writeup with good pics by then.

Re: Change only the fifth gear.
Actually changing the gears isn't that bad either. I had mine apart this morning actually! You take off the black steel cover on the tail of the transmission, and there they are! Then take an inch and a quarter socket to take off the retaining nuts (after you unstake them of course  ) You will...

Seriously where did you get that lip? Is it one from another car? Anyone??? I can't find it in the FAQ's and the links come up dead on the main site for body kits.

Re: How many cupholders do you guys have?
Maybe I'll make an insert out of aluminum, and then polish it. I do see what you guys mean about hitting the cups with my arm, I'd hit them for sure in the center consul. I pretty much just drink water now a days, too much sugar in anything else, so a spill wouldn't be the end of the world.

Re: How many cupholders do you guys have?
Well I just bought this consul that has 3 in it, you can only use two out of the three at a time, but its 3 none the less. http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r141/crazypunkerguy/100_1377.jpg http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r141/crazypunkerguy/100_1378.jpg An I installed this after I got it from a...
