Haha oh yeah, it's the same alright, did an ohm meter test, same wire. Seems to be the ground wire for the relay coil, the other wire on the relay is definitely the hot one. I've jumpered the two directly and the defroster comes on. Trouble is, don't think it'll shut off since this bypasses the swit...

Still no rear defroster...and still no diagram
Anybody have any idea why the yellow wire from the rear defroster relay goes to the fuel pump under the back seat? What's the connection between these two?

OK, guess I'll answer my own question here for possible future reference for everybody since you've been so helpful  Through my own analysis I discovered these two wires are parking light wires that went to the factory radio to light it up, just a switched hot and a ground I believe Thank you ...

Rear Defroster Wires
Ok, I think somebody must know the answer to this...where the radio goes there is a red wire and a red w/black stripe wire that go to the rear defroster button on the dash. Can somebody please tell me how these connect, what these hook up to? I'm never gonna get my defroster to work again without th...

My car spent some time in Ohio before I got it, which lead me to have to replace my exhaust pipe underneath that had big rust holes in it, so that's always a possibility...glad the relays are easy to get to and not buried ...

Man that'd really help out...I've got a Chilton manual but it's not very specific on this. I think I've pinpointed at least part of my problem: When I took out my radio to put a CD deck there's a little red wire and a red w/black stripe wire that go to the rear defroster switch on the dash. They are...

No Rear Defrost
Well it's getting colder weather now and when my rear glass ices up I can't see squat back there.... I've tested the wires to the rear d-frost button and there's no power at the plug, hence the button won't light when pressed and nothing happens. I've also got no power to the LED that comes on when ...
