I through her up on a lift and found I was missing the nut & cotter pin at the end of one of my tierods. Was also missing 2 exhaust hangers. In any case, replaced them & problem gone.

the o2 sensor only has about 15-20000 miles on it. i was also under the impression that the o2 sensor doesn't affect fuel mixture until it reaches operating temp. this problem occurs whether car is cold or hot. i'll check it tomorrow though. thanks for the reply.
