This is not like the resistor "super mod" on ebay, really a blank EPROM is cheap, and if you have a board to program it with PC via serial and an original mazda EPROM is easy and cheap to duplicate it, for that it only cost 20$ in my opinion, but all is possible... I will ask the seller to...

A bad ECU can kill the engine? I can´t figure how it can do. The seller has good feedbacks about that chip, really is a simple programed EPROM, the same that a EPROM from a Mazda ECU. My K8 ECU and the Probe ECU that I bought are the same, the only difference between is that EPROM.

why? a bad ECU can damage the engine, harness or another parts of the car?

Finally i got a cheap MX-6 ECU and the KLZE chip from ebay, I hope will work fine with my future ZE.

mmm, just under the radio or under the radio at floor level? I disamble the plastic around the shift and dont see the ECU. Can you put an image of the location or tell me where to see it on the workshop manual?

I was looking better around here and I got that finally questions: All KLZE engines use OBDI harness except the newest version? My 93 MX-3 would be OBDI, but I see the ECU under the seat and it isn´t the same as the KL31 ECU that I see on ebay, my ECU has two white connector getting out, not 3 like ...

nobody knows ow to identify a KLZE engine with the same connectors as my k8?

I don`t like to listen that about imported engines, but I was a year thinking about the SWAP and always I end up hitting against this wall, I must buy one and try fortune. Many time ago I read that all the motors don´t have the same connectors, how I can know if the engine that I am going to buy tak...
